even more!

A list and a brief review for the movies I've seen recently:

O Brother, Where Art Thou? - Amusing, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind - I found this interesting, and I'd recommend it to people as a movie dealing with relationships and communication between people.
Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World - I liked this a lot. Not for the squeamish, though.
The Brothers Grimm - Not for watching late at night by yourself, but it's a typical movie where everything turns out for the good and no one you like dies.
The Chronicles of Narnia - I was disappointed. I can say I like the book a lot better.
Whisper of the Heart - This is another anime done by the same guy who did "Howl's Moving Castle" and "Spirited Away." My husband really liked it because he said it was about ordinary people and ordinary things. My only complaint was it ended too abruptly. They spent a lot of time developing the characters and all of a sudden it was, "Will you marry me? Oh, that's wonderful!" THE END.

I now have three more anime films to watch, so that will be the next report.

Moovies

I've been watching a fair number of movies recently. "Elizabethtown" was just plain weird. "A Cinderella Story" was light and entertaining. "In Her Shoes" was surprisingly good. I feared it would be a chick-fight flick, but it wasn't even close. Last night I finally saw "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind." I thought it was well done if not a bit weird subject matter. I didn't predict the ending of the film, so that is always a good sign. I saw "Airplane" while I was away as well as "Finding Nemo" and "Howl's Moving Castle." I enjoyed them all, but "Howl's Moving Castle" was disappointing in its story.
